The “peaceful place” is a great tool for people who have attempted to calm the mind through meditation but find their mind continues to “race”. The detailed imaginative technique gives you the tool to go “somewhere” and to place your attention on that space.
The technique may provide relief for people who have difficulty with anger or are experiencing high levels of stress or sadness. It will complement most therapies and provides a potential coping strategy for anyone who feels overwhelmed.
